Zoobles!

SO, as i posted a few weeks ago, my office hosted a custom art show. all the participants were given a large, blank zooble and tasked with creating something unique

here is the blank












i didnt want to modify the zooble physically, so i just sketched and painted on it as a surface/canvas.

anyway, this is a pic of the final piece

dhalsim vs dudley

hi!
havent posted for awhile...which probably isnt a big deal since i dont think too many people come through here. echoooo....echo....

anyway, i was asked to do a piece for a "Street Fighter vs Tekken" show in early March, and this is what i came up with. Im not one to do something super serious, so i thought id have a shot at Dhalsim stealing tea and biscuits from Dudley

i did this one 100% digitally in photoshop using my cintiq monitor. i struggled quite a bit with composition, but i think it turned out OK. its hard to ever be REALLY happy with a finished piece, so...

anyway, i have some more stuff coming up soon so i should be back on here posting again soon

sat in a few meetings today, and managed to squeeze a few dumb sketches out of them













originally i kinda wanted to add some quick shadows or color. but this time i will just leave them raw, as is













i need to work on adding variety in my cartoon face sketches

zoobles

i am participating in a custom art show at work. the assignment is to customize a large zooble so anyway, i thought i would just draw and paint on top, and treat it as a blank "canvas"

here are a couple images of the zooble with pencil...



























just a little monster buddy. nothing crazy. a little paul wilson flavor















and tonight i added some paints.













i have a long way to go, but so far i am not disappointed.













i went into this not completely sure where i was going, so... this is fine













anyway, i need to finish and turn this in by wednesday, so i WILL BE working on this again soon. like i said, so far so good...but theres a lot to do, and a lot to figure out and decide. all part of the process. im enjoying the experience of customizing a blank figure, and would be interested in doing more in the future.

maybe ill customize a dunny. and a munny. and a...hyperactive monkey. and, whatever else. anyone?
